Reflective tape adds a relatively substantial amount of weight (about 3-5 ounces depending on the tape, tubing, hoop size, etc).  Many firehoopers are often looking to shave off every ounce possible from their firehoop, since the wicks add an unavoidable amount of weight.  The downside of a reflective firehoop's weight will be offset by it's incredible bling.. so long as you're ok with a heavier firehoop.  We cannot list actual weights since there are so many variations of this firehoop depending on tubing size, hoop size, amount of tape layers, wick count, etc..
